To inspire, support, and empower migrant high-school students to graduate from high school, assume leadership roles in their communities, and pursue a college education.
The Harvest of Hope Leadership Academy (HHLA) is a FREE academic enrichment program that serves high-school students eligible for migrant-education services.
Each June since 2008, HHLA has provided a three-week Summer Academy in which students come to the University of Kansas campus to live, learn, and work together to:
- explore and develop leadership skills, and
- gain knowledge and skills to graduate from high school and pursue a college education.
During the academic year, HHLA continues to support migrant students’ educational success through regional workshops, newsletters, advising, and special programs.
Catch up on what we've been up to by reading our November newsletter.
The 2015 Summer Academy application will be available here in February 2015.
Preparing for a college education is a step-by-step process that you can manage. Just remember: Connect – Prepare – Explore – Be Active!
